Kreutz teaches at the Art Students League in New York City, a venerable institution that since it’s inception, gives no degrees and has no entrance requirements. It is committed to the principle of learning strictly for learning’s sake.

Cityscape Painting in NYC
July 12th and 13th, 2025.
This in-person, hands-on painting workshop will take place in and around Union Square on two consecutive days. Throughout the painting sessions, Kreutz will teach individually and give on-site demonstrations that will help students navigate the complexities of urban plain air painting. All levels are welcome. 2. DRAWING FROM LIFE
Monday and Tuesday evenings (in person)
The class explores and expands upon Kreutz’s Curved Tube approach to drawing the figure. With the help of a live model, the elements of accurate drawing are broken down into a coherent sequence-Action, Structure, and Surface. With this approach, people at all levels from rank beginner to accomplished professional can expand their range.
